CIT established in 1999, is sponsored by the Kodava Education Society, with the primary aim of providing quality technical education to the aspiring students from Kodagu district and other parts of the country. A Governing Council headed by Sri. C.P. Belliappa, an engineer and coffee planter, manages CIT. The Governing Council comprises of professionals with extensive experience in the management of educational institutions. It leads to the implementation of comprehensive strategic plans that aims at leveraging the institute’s existing strengths and ensures its rapid progress into a Deemed University. The Governing Council meets periodically to frame policies and programmes for the growth of CIT. Dr. M.BASAVARAJ, Principal, oversees the academic administration of the college. CIT is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and recognized by the Government of Karnataka.

Although these are two related technologies and sometimes people use them as a synonym for each other, but still both are the two different terms in various cases.

Artificial intelligence is a collection of complex computer algorithms that mimic human intelligence. Computers that are programmed with AI can “learn” as they go, becoming better at solving specific types of problems as they take in more data. It also involves translations, understanding human speech, image recognition, speech recognition, and the process of decision-making. Artificial intelligence is a product of human creation, developed to enable computers to read, understand, and learn from data, which helps in the decision-making process. These decisions are based on inferences that are otherwise difficult for humans to catch.
