Thrilled to announce that the department has been awarded the title of *Best Department in Sports* for the academic year 2023-24. This remarkable achievement reflects the dedication, talent, and hard work of our students, faculty, and staff who have consistently excelled in various sporting events throughout the year. The award stands as a testament to our commitment to promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence in athletics, further solidifying our department’s reputation both academically and athletically.
2nd year students of AI & ML visited URSC, Bengaluru where they were made to know about the launch of several communication and remote sensing satellites, including the INSAT series of satellites and the Chandrayaan-1 and Mangalyaan missions. Also students visited the Satellite Assembly Building, where they saw the assembly, integration, and testing process of satellites. Overall, the industrial visit to URSC was an excellent learning experience for all the students.
2nd year AI & ML students visited The ASC Centre and College, Bengaluru on 13th March 2023. ASC Centre plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective logistics operations of the Indian Army. The students were briefed about the augmented reality, virtual reality and mixed virtual reality concepts with live demo. Also the demonstration of EV vehicles were shown.
2nd year AI &ML students visited Laerdal Technologies, Bengaluru on 13th March 2023, which is a software company that manufactures interactive mannequins using AI. The company specializes in creating lifelike medical training mannequins that simulate a wide range of medical scenarios. The students had the opportunity to interact with techies and learn about the technology behind the interactive mannequins. The students were first introduced to the basics of CPR, which is an essential life saving technique that everyone should know. They were also given the chance to practice their skills on their interactive mannequins.
