A One-day Technical Seminar was conducted for the 1st year students of All the departments on ““ Overview of Industry Automation – Trends in IOT, AI&ML” on 01-06-2023 by department of AI&ML in association with DLithe Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru. The resource persons were Mr. Arun Rajpurohit, who is Director of DLithe, Ms. Medini B V, Embedded Engineer at DLithe, Mr. Vijay, Head of Technology at DLithe Technologies Bengaluru.
An Inaugural ceremony was conducted on 1st June 2023 at third floor Seminar Hall at 10:30 A.M. This ceremony was conducted under the presidency of the Principal of CIT -Dr. M Basavaraj, the chief guest for this ceremony was Mr. Arun Rajpurohit, who is the resource person for this program. HoD of AI&ML, Dr. Ramakrishna B.B, all teaching & non-teaching faculties and students were present during this occasion.
Initially the Prayer was sung by Bhavana, who is 1st year student of AI&ML department, welcome speech was delivered by Sumana, who is 1st year student of AI&ML department. Later, respected Principal of the college Dr. M Basavaraj spoke about the importance of Industry Automation – Trends in IOT, AI&ML and instructed all the students to make full use of this technical seminar. Also, the resource persons were introduced to the audience by Neelam, a student of 1st d year. Later MoU between DLithe Technology, Bengaluru and Department of AI&ML was signed by Mr. Arun Rajpurohit, Director, DLithe Technology, Bengaluru and CIT Principal, Dr. M Basavaraj. Dr. Ramakrishna B B, HoD, Department of AI&ML spoke about the recent trends in IOT, AI&ML and how Industry Automation is taking place in the field of AI. The resource persons Mr. Arun Rajpurohit, Ms. Medini B V, Mr. Vijay guided the students about the flow of this course and vote of thanks was conveyed by Thelma, a student of 1st year AI&ML.

Day 1: 01/06/2023 – Introduction to IOT, AI&ML
Morning Session – 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM:
The first session of the course focused on introduction of IOT and AI&ML objectives, the fundamental languages used in IOT and AI. The instructor, Ms. Medini B V started by explaining the role of Industry Automation in IOT and in the field of Artificial Intelligence(AI). The IoT refers to the network of interconnected devices, sensors, and systems that collect and exchange data in real-time. In the context of industry automation, IoT enables the seamless integration of machines, processes, and humans, leading to improved efficiency, productivity, and decision-making.
AI plays a vital role in industry automation by enabling machines to mimic human intelligence and perform complex tasks. It empowers automation systems to make autonomous decisions, learn from data, and continuously improve.
ML, a subset of AI, focuses on algorithms and models that enable systems to learn from data and improve their performance over time. ML is extensively used in industry automation to analyze complex data patterns, optimize processes, and enable predictive capabilities.

Afternoon Session – 02:00 PM to 04:30 PM:
In the afternoon session, Ms. Medini B V and Mr. Vijay gave hands on session on IOT devices and its applications. They were instructed to apply the learned applications using Raspberry Pi and Arduino devices. The instructor provided guidance and support as participants worked on their assignments. The session ended with Question-and-answer interaction session.
